Street photography. Street photography is capturing a moment or candid on the streets of the city. This also involves capturing what you see and what your heart wants. Capturing these moments also need to be compose into a story of yours.

Oh, how I love street photography! For me, this is a very hard task to get the picture you want. It takes a lot of guts to do it on the streets and you sometimes don't want people to notice that you're taking the person's picture. I know you will feel really scared when it's about taking pictures of strangers.

What I usually do when taking pictures on the street, I sometimes stay a place which is in public. If it was a private place, for example in a building or a shopping mall, you might want to keep an eye on the security guards. I've been stopped quite a lot from them. Or you could do taking pictures in groups, if it's in a private place. One more thing when you get stopped or being questioned, be polite with them. It's their responsibility to keep the place safe. If they say "no pictures" then stay away. Respect them.

Obviously when it comes to capture the picture, I recommend people using telephoto lens (long lens). It would be an ideal position for you to take many street shots. Sometimes, lots of photographer use a prime lens. For example, the 50mm f1.4. That lens is probably one of the favourite lens ever used by any photographer. (I will tell you about lens relationship with photography in another post sooner or later)

If you want to try this, go ahead. I will ashore you it will be fun. Remember to be patient when it comes to get the picture you want and you'll be happy to do street photography.
